Hi Addy, do you think sea cucumbers like hagfish? Hagfish can actually make slime!  Yes, Gene, I do know Marcia T. Jones.  We're friends.  Lauren, I believe it is fun to share ideas, but I understand your concern.
Amaka, it was so nice of you to throw a Bailey School Kids birthday party for Isabell.  Please tell her I said Dragons Don't Throw SnowballsHAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!  I'm so happy your science project worked out.  Way to go!
Samira and Lucy, it is so cool that you want to be writers.  Have you ever seen my writing video?  Samira, I love dolphins too!
Hey Ara, great to hear from you.  Hope you tell your grandmother I said hello!  Joshua, I have two dogs.  I used to have three, but my oldest dog, Bailey, died last year.  It was really sad, but she had lived a very long life for a dog.  She was 17.5!  Hi Caroline, I did enjoy Frozen!  Have a great week and I hope you doing something nice for someone on this Martin Luther King's Day.  Best, Debbie

Hi Chavi!  Jay, did you know that the Super Eddie chapter Ghouls Don't Scoop Ice Creamin Ghouls Don't Scoop Ice Cream is my favorite?  Guess what?  I am 5'6"!  I was always the shortest one in my class before I finally grew.  I always wanted to be tall when I was a kid!  Anthony, I'm so glad you like the Bailey School Kids books.  Have a great weekend, Debbie

Hi Amaka, I'm so glad you like the Bailey School Kids Books.  Guess what?  Strawberries are my favorite food.  A Tale of Two Sisters Mermaid Tales #10Good luck with your science project.
Hana and Zach, my first book came out in 1990.  Mermaid Tales came out in 2012.  My longest series is the Bailey School Kids so it is special because of that, but my newest series is Mermaid Tales so it is special because of that! Chavi, I'm so glad you like the Mermaid Tales series.   Yes, I am writing more.  In fact, a new one comes out on January 27th.  It is called A Tale of Two Sisters
Joshua, thanks for the fun idea!  A big hello to Tara!  Gianna, my first book came out in 1990.  You have a fun school!  David, Esha, and Lauren, hurrah that you are interested in writing.  I am impressed.  You might like to visit my writing page for some tips.  Esha, just write your Danger in the Deep Blue Seastory however you want and have fun with it!  David, feel free to share.
Carolina, I get ideas from everywhere, even the newspaper!  Joy, I am 55 and I have written 162 books.  Kayla, you are right, I did do research on sharks for Danger in the Deep Blue Sea.  Addy, I like starfish too.  In fact, the upcoming Mermaid Tales #12 will be about starfish (or sea stars).  Thanks to the kids, parents, and teachers of Village Elementary for hosting me yesterday.  You are awesome, Debbie

Dear Ashley, I WAS a kid like Eddie.  Okay, maybe not quite so crazy.  I also taught school for 11 years so I met a few kids who were a bit like Eddie too.  He is a good kid at heart, most of the time he just gets a bit carried away.  Please tell your class I said hello!  Have a great week, Debbie

Gremlins Don't Chew Bubble GumDear Amaka, It is great to hear from you.  I'm sorry to read that you are stressed out about your science project.  Perhaps you need a gremlin to fix one for you, like in Gremlins Don't Chew Bubble Gum?  If you don't have a gremlin, maybe something on this science fair idea page will help.  Good luck, Debbie
