Dear Olivia, it takes different amounts of time for different books. Cherokee Sister took me eight years! Cassidy, I think I do remember every title. Stefano, I'm so glad you like Slime Wars. I had fun writing it with my son, Nathan. Andrew, I'm really, realy old! Alexandra, I think my favorite joke in the Bailey School Kids joke book is the one that's something like "What's creepy and has a red nose?" It's Rudolph, the red-nosed zombie! Hi to Alex and Debbie!
     Fred, it's cool that you are reliving the Bailey School Kids books. You might even like to say hi on Facebook.com/debbiedadey. Marcia and I never said for sure what state the Bailey School Kids lived in, but I always thought it could be Ohio.
     Maggie, I do like being an author. This week I plan to learn and write about crabs! I'll also be skyping with two schools, visiting one school in New Jersey, and speaking at a writer's conference. I'll also get to meet my summer Intern, so it should be a busy week.
     James and Erik, most of my series you don't have to read in order, athough lots of people do like to start with number one. My first book was Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots. One series you probably should read in order is the Keyholder series. Have a great week, Debbie

Dear Hannah, Yeah! I'm thrilled that the Bailey Schools Kids is your favorite series and that Leprechauns Don't Play Fetch is your favorite book. Any time I write a story I always do research to help me find out interesting things that I can put into my writing. Since I've written about monsters a lot, I've studied legends and myths that have to do with those creatures. It's very interesting. Have a great weekend, Debbie
