Dear Samuel, I have been to a lot of schools! I wish I knew how many, but I really like visiting them. Did you know used to be a teacher and I was also an elementary school librarian? Thanks for your fun ideas about wolves and scooters. I've never written about just wolves, but I have written three books (with Marcia Jones) about werewolves: Werewolves Don't Go To Summer Camp, Wolfman Don't Hula Dance, and Werewolves Don't Run for President. I like writing about werewolves! They are quite interesting. Also, Marcia and I did write a scooter book. It's a Bailey School Kids Junior Chapter book called Pirates Do Ride Scooters. I've actually had two scooters, one red and my last one was gray. Have a great weekend, Debbie

Hi Jake, I get ideas from everywhere-even the newspaper. That's where the idea to write Bigfoot Doesn't Square Dance came from. The idea for the skateboarding book I'm working on right now came from my youngest son who is good at skateboarding. Why did I write all my books? I think it's fun! Talk to you later, Debbie

Jessie, congratulations on your book talk. You are never too old for kids books. I get letters from college students all the time! In fact, one of my favorite stories is The Giving Tree. It always makes me cry and it's a picture book! I am into recycling and trying to help our planet so I try to put that into my stories.
Shaela, my first book was Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots. It came out in 1990 and like all the Bailey School Kids books I wrote it with Marcia Thornton Jones. Hope you like it, Debbie
