Hey Christina, I'd love to come to Texas. After all, I used to live near Dallas. Ask your teacher if they ever have author visits. She can look on my scheduling page for more information or contact me with any questions. (Good luck with your yard sale!) I went to New Jersey on Saturday for the Princeton Library's Children's Book Festival. It was so fun meeting so many people who love to read! The book that sold out first was Ghosts Don't Eat Potato Chips. ttyl, Debbie

Hi Sarah, love your idea! Mrs. Kennelly's class, I'll look forward to 'seeing' you in Oct. on Skype. DeKarian, you'll be surprised to know that I know a lot of different types of music because I have three kids and they all like different things.
Christina, I had a bit of computer troubles or I would have answered sooner. Sorry to hear you hurt your finger, but I can't believe you had fake cockroaches at camp-yuck! That sounds like Eddie to me. Hope you'll enjoy The Other Side of Magic. Did you know I used to live in Texas? Now I live near Philadelphia. In fact, tomorrow I'll be in Princeton, NJ at the library doing a booksigning. At 1:10 I'll be doing a reading. Best, Debbie

Yes, the whole east coast just went through Hurricane Irene. Luckily, my immediate area wasn't hit too badly. We didn't even loose power (yet), but I know people who did.
Christina, it's cool that you were born in Taiwan. I would like to visit Taiwan and China some day. I think the sharks in the tank were nurse sharks, but I'm not sure. The place where we stayed had lots of aquariums, some where you could even swim with sharks. We didn't do that! Would you? ttyl, Debbie

Dear Christina, I did drop down a forty foot slide into a pool of sharks, but luckily the sharks were separated by very strong pieces of glass. It went so fast I could barely see the sharks, but I went on another slide that was slower. In this one, I went on a inner tube and I could see the sharks swimming beside me (behind the glass!). Pretty creepy! I hope everyone in the Bahamas (where we went for vacation) were okay after the hurricane. Luckily, my family is safe and we didn't have any damage. Some of my neighbors had trees fall down. My son's school is delayed a day because of power outages. ttyl, Debbie

Are you back at school yet? I just dropped my daughter off to college and my son drove back to graduate school. Now, my youngest son is enjoying his last few days of summer vacation before he goes back next week.
KeeLee, I hope you are enjoying your summer. Marcia and I have asked our editor if she'd like to do a tooth fairy book, but we haven't heard back yet! It would be so fun to do. If any of you live in NJ or around there, I hope you'll come to the Princeton Children's Book Festival on Sept. 10 from 11-4. I'll be reading at 1:10. Hope to meet you, Debbie
