Dear Abby, Marcia Jones and I both like hiking and camping so Werewolves bookwe thought it would be fun to have Eddie, Melody, Howie, and Liza go to a summer camp.  That's how the idea for Werewolves Don't Go To Summer Camp came about.  My new series is about mermaids and merboys!  Christina, I don't live that far away from New York.  My convertable is red!  ttyl, Debbie

Hi Alaina, my next book will come out in May.  In fact, two books:  Trouble at Trident Academy and Battle of the Best Friends will both come out then.  They are about Merkids and Santa Claus bookI'm very excited about them.  My very first book came out in 1990.  Paloma, I'm glad you enjoy my stories.  Do you have a favorite?
Morgan, Santa Claus Doesn't Mop Floors was one of the easiest Bailey School Kids books to write.  My first book was Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots.  My favorite author is my son, Nathan Dadey.  We wrote Slime Wars and Slime Time together.  Monsters are definitely fun to write about-don't you think?  Christina, the names of your goldfish made me think of Dr. Seuss' Thing One and Thing Two.  Laughing  A convertable is a car that has a top that comes off.  It's fun to drive when it's sunny out.  Hope you guys have a great week and a great life.  I am rooting for you, Debbie

Dear Jackson, I am not and have never been a vampire.  I grew up in a very small house and I must say my house now vampire bookis bigger.  I sold my big Trailblazer a while back and bought a red convertable that is good on gas mileage.  It is also quite fun to drive!  Eva, I'm glad you are enjoying Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots.  I like the shaving cream part too.  You might enjoy Santa Claus Doesn't Mop Floors too since something a bit similar happens in that story.  Brian, Happy Halloween to you and your class.  I have lots of favorite stories, including Skeletons Don't Play Tubas
A big hello to everyone in Mrs. Castle's Class.  Did you Ghosts Don't Eat Potato Chipsknow that Ghosts Don't Eat Potato Chips was the hardest Bailey School Kids book to write.  It took us two years! (It takes different amounts of time to write different books.)  I think I wanted to write because I enjoy reading so much.  I wanted to write something that someone might like to read.  I like most sports, but the one I play myself right now is tennis.  Last weekend I was at the Penn State football game against Iowa.  Sorry Iowa!  I'd love to visit you guys in North Carolina.  So far I don't have any trips to North Carolina scheduled.  Are you far from the Smoky Mts.?  My husband loves it there.  Best, Debbie
