    Any hockey fans out there? I'm so excited about the Flyers going to the Stanley Cup Playoffs! How cool is that? My oldest son Nathan played hockey when we lived in the Chicago area.  Now I have to choose between the Flyers and the Black Hawks. Sorry Chicago, I live in the Philadelphia area now.
     Steven, thanks for your ideas. Say hi to Marianne for me. I have some questions to Debbie in my FAQ (frequently asked questions). Is that what you meant? Unfortunately Eddie's mother died from an illness.
     Katie, I hope there's more Keyholder books as well. You must be a great reader to read all four in one weekend! Sammy, I do like putting creatures in my stories. This Side of Magic has a boy in a pink tutu that changes into an evil boggart and a cute little cat that changes into a huge panther. The neat thing about writing stories is that anything can happen!
     Gabe, I'm so glad you liked Whistler's Hollow. That story means a lot to me because it was based on something that happened to my grandmother, Lillie Bailey. She was a very special lady.
Lorainne and Cailey, I's so glad you like the Bailey School Kids books. Do you have a favorite book? Howie is a bit like my husband, who is very smart in science and math. Steven, thanks for the joke. I love bread too-expecially the warm homemade kind! Jayliza, did you know I used to be a librarian? Guess that was part of the inspiration for Wizards Don't Need Computers. Do you think I'm a wizard? I definitely don't have a white beard. Glad you enjoyed that story.
     I know some kids are out for summer break, but my kids still have 3 weeks left! brb. Debbie

     Hayley, thanks for the birthday wishes. I'm sorry you are sad. Writing and prayer do help me to feel better.   Reading helps me too. I hope they help you as well. Let me know how you are doing.
     Rezdi, I'm glad you like my website. My good friends Maryjo and Fred help me with it.  Renee, I'm so glad you like my books. Do you have a favorite? Caitlin, Mina, Noelle, and Hayley thanks for your fun ideas. Hayley, have you seen my soccer book, Zombies Don't Play Soccer? Noelle, Marcia and I have thought about doing a fairy book.  Mina, I'ms so glad you like Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots and Werewolves Don't Go To Summer Camp. You sound like an amazing reader!
     Kayla, Yasmine, and Anna the best way to become an author is to write, write, write and read, read, read.  That's what I did and still do. You might also like to check out my writing page for tips. Maryam, you might like to write about your school too! Xhulio, I've written 147 stories that have been made into books. Danielle, I was 27 when I wrote my first book, Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots.  Yes, Steven I do think Mrs. Jeepers is a vampire, do you?
      William, I do try to write alot because I enjoy it. Makayla, I'm so glad you like my books. Sophia, I remember meeting you. I'm fine, how are you? (I had a lovely birthday this week). Marquese, I hope to meet you too! Noellle, I like to play tennis, read books, and write stories. I've been planting lots of flowers lately because I love being outside and enjoying nature. That's one of the reasons why Marcia and I wrote Werewolves Don't Go To Summer Camp, because we both enjoy being outside, hiking, and we used to camp alot with our families. I hope to camp this summer. Angela, I'm glad you like Werewolves Don't Go To Summer Camp. Dekarian, I do like polar bears. I like all the Bailey School Kids characters, but I do have a soft spot for Eddie. Who is your favorite? Catherine, my first book came out in 1990. Andrea, I get ideas from everywhere, including my children. My daughter Becky and I wrote an amazing story. It is with a publisher right now. Kelly, it's not out yet, but I hope it will be soon because I thought it turned out to be a fun story. A big hello to Amy! Alexia, I wanted to be an author because I like to read. In fact, I woke up early this morning at about 3:30. For some reason I wasn't sleepy so I started reading. I fell asleep about 5:00 in the morning! Right now, I'm rewriting a time travel story.       Happy Birthday to ME! My birthday is this week. What will I do to celebrate? I'm going to see a play and go out to eat. I'm also going to play tennis. What else should I do? How do you like to celebrate your birthday? Should we write a story, the best birthday ever?
     John, it's true I can't juggle. Cassie, you do have a lovely school. I'm glad I got to visit you. Toby, your title idea was very funny! John, you can find out what was in the box in Mrs. Jeepers basement in Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots by reading Mrs. Jeepers Creepy Christmas. Nicole, since you like Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots and creepy books, you might like to try that one too.
     Makayla and Fayth, Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots was my first book. I went to school in Kentucky. Makenna, what kind of games should I have? Have you tried the Bailey School Kids Trivia game? How did you do? Have you checked out my new writing video?
     Kylie and Kenterias, you can find out more about Eddie, Melody, Howie, and Liza on my meet pages in the Swamp Club. Captain Teach and Mr. Jenkins are their own unique characters. Marcia and I have written several books that have the creepy Mr. Jenkins. Do you think he's a werewolf? We've only written the one about the grumpy pirate Captain Teach. Do you think he's a pirate?   I recently helped out at a Habitat for Humanity fundraiser where I met a dog that likes sunglasses too! Catheine, I did have a lovely time on Earth Day!
     Fayth, I like hockey too. On Sunday night, I watched the Philadelphia Flyers win. Their game seven of last week was simply amazing. Go Flyers! Thanks for your idea, but did you know I do have a hockey book? It's Frankenstein Doesn't Slam Hockey Pucks and the idea actually came from my son Nathan who played hockey?

     Happy Birthday to my brother Frank! Hi Brian, I went to college at Western Kentucky University and thoroughly enjoyed it. Of course, that's where I fell in love with my husband!
     Alaina and Isabella, I have lots of favorite books. I am quite partial to the ones (Slime Wars and Slime Time) I wrote with my son, Nathan. He's quite a sweetheart and we had a lot of fun writing it together.   I'd like to think that's his favorite books too! My daughter and I wrote a book together, which I hope will get published. But I know she likes Mrs. Claus Doesn't Climb Telephone Poles and Sea Serpents Don't Juggle Water Balloons because she's in them! I know my youngest son likes the skateboarding book I'm working on now.   I read it to him and he laughed and he usually doesn't laugh at books! I hope it will get published!
     John and Najeh, I'm so glad you like my books. The Bailey name actually came from my grandmother, Lillie Bailey. In Vikings Don't Wear Wrestling Belts, I was like Liza-a little scared of the wrestlers! Lauren and Steven, thanks for your fun ideas-you guys rock! Sammy, I do like writing about creatures.      Happy May Day! Did you know in some countries like Germany, they have celebrations for the first day of May? I visited some schools in Germany one year and they had May poles in lots of the different towns. They were decorated with flowers and quite lovely.
     Karmy, I have many favorite books. Since it's nearing the end of the school year and some people are thinking about graduation, I like Wizards Don't Wear Graduation Gowns. At different times of the year, I like different books.   Mariah, Abby, and Nadia, I'm so glad you like my books. Mariah and Salie, I think it is quite fun to write children's books. Catherine, Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots has 13 chapters! Priyankha and Lexi, there are 51 numbered Bailey School Kids books and lots of specials. Sammy, I do get ideas from kids I meet. Preet, I think your idea was amazing! Raeghan, I'm glad you like Ghostville Elementary.
     A big hello to Ariana and Brionna. Makel, some of my books can be a little scary. One that is not is The Worst The Worst name in Third Grade Name in Third Grade. I hope you'll check it out.  Kenterias and Diana, I'm so glad you like my books.  Do you think we should write more Bailey School Kids books?
