Dear Kaleigh, I hope you enjoy Flower Girl Dreams. My niece was the flower girl in my wedding. I think I will keep this column since you enjoy it.
Suzy, I thought it was funny when the teacher was a green bird. Why does Emily say, "This stinks." Doesn't she like yearbooks? I was an extra in a movie called The Music Never Stops. I have fun researching the ocean creatures in the Mermaid Tales series. Sue, I enjoy Suzy's letters.
Vanathi, I like dolphins too! I really like the dolphin on the cover of The Lost Princess. Lofia, yes I do enjoy those stories. I do like unicorns! In fact, my next Mermaid Tales book is about the unicorn of the sea! Syliva, I had such fun learning about sea turtles for The Dream of the Blue Turtle. Did you know that we can help sea turtles by not using plastic grocery bags The Abominable Snowman Doesn't Roast Marshmallows (or recycling them)?
Brayden, when Marcia and I wrote the Bailey School Kids books we wrote them like the characters really were those creatures! Our editor asked us to make it a question. Jessie, we are alike in three ways: my favorite color is blue, my favorite animal is a dog, and I love to read in my free time! Nicole, I don't plan to stop writing anytime soon! Hi Suzy, I used to watch Hannah Montana with my daughter. I think you should call your story the Cuckoo Teacher! I like the humor and it reminds me of the beginning of Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots.
Hadley, I do visit schools. It would be fun to visit yours. You can ask your teacher or librarian to contact me to work it out. I work with a school's budget. But there are also grants that help fund an author visits. My favorite color is blue. I have always wanted to go to Australia, but today I would visit the three places where my grown children live!
