Dear Emma, I am so glad you like my books. Maya, my favorite color is blue and I have two brothers, Frank and David. Lauren the Blue Kiwi, when I was in grade school I wanted to be a teacher and then president!
     A big hello to Jenisha, Dylan, Kay, O, KKK, Jasa, Ethan, and Jhon. Yes, Ethan I did enjoy writing the Bailey School Kids books with my friend Marcia. Samantha, I'm so glad you liked Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots.
     Noni, I am so sorry kids joke about your heritage. I hope you can be proud of it. I am proud to be park Cherokee Indian. In fact, I wrote a book called Cherokee Sister. (Sometimes people can be jerks!)
     Lavo, I'm glad you like the Bailey City Monsters and Goblins Don't Play Video Games. Heaven, did you have a favorite part of Ghosts Don't Eat Potato Chips? Leah, thanks for the fun idea. Yes, it would be very cool for the Bailey School Kids to be a movie.
     Gianna, so glad you like the Mermaid Tales. Do you have a favorite? Laasya, Cupid Doesn't Flip Hamburgers came out in 1995. Have a great week, Debbie

Hi Leah and DD, I'm so glad you like my stories. Leah, I was a children's librarian so I really like kid's books and I wanted to write one of my own! Hope you have a great day too. DD, please tell your brothers and sisters I said hello.
Owen, you never know who will show up in my stories! Cameron, I have two great brothers, three wonderful children, and one fantastic scientist husband. I have two dogs, but I always wanted a horse. I think that inspired me to write books about horses, including sea horses!

Hi Melissa, Debbie, and Oji! Ira, I think we all feel stupid sometimes. It's very normal and part of being human. In fact, I'm writing a story right now about a kid who feels rather stupid, but finds out she can change the world in a unique way.
     Yuna, I like to write too! Perhaps you'd like to visit my writing page. Yes, Lauren! I am really ready for warm spring weather! Lynae, I love books too. Do you have a favorite?
     David, I'm so glad you like my stories. Andrew, I wish I could write perfectly the first time, but I do a lot of rewriting to make my stories better. Octavi, my newest book is called A Tale of Two Sisters. If you have a brother or sister you know how hard it can be to get along sometimes. In this Mermaid Tales book, Echo and her sister have an epic fight!
