Hi Lucy!  I'm so glad you liked your Mermaid Tales book.  Guess what?  The fourth one comes out soon.  I'm pretty Danger in the Deep Blue Seaexcited about it because Pearl meets a shark!  I never knew before that we need sharks in the ocean.  They help in a lot of ways and one is that they keep fish populations healthy by eating diseased ones.  Since you like dolphins, here's a sneak peek at book five that comes out in May.  Good luck with your writing, Debbie

Hey Jesse, I loved third grade.  Unfortunately I got in trouble Zombies Don't Coach Soccera lot for talking too much.  I hope that doesn't happen to you.  Lucas, your cavewoman idea is great and different.  I think it's fun to write about things that are a little bit different and unexpected.  Skyler, your zombie idea is definitely different and unexpected (and I do like zombies!)  Zombies Don't Disco Dance is funny enough without the chain saw and the diving, don't you think?  Scholastic is pretty protective and probably wouldn't let a chain saw be in a kid's book.  It might be too scary!  Have a great week, Debbie

Lucas, your ideas were very fun!  Your caveman idea made me hungry for candy.  You have a good imagination.  Jesse, now I'm curious.  How old are you?  Hi Skyler.  Have a good weekend, Debbie

Unicorns Don't Give Sleigh RidesDear Jesse, are you eight?  Maybe Eddie is a grouch sometimes because he never got out of third grade!  James and Stacy, thanks for your wild ideas.  I like zombie stories too.  Stacy, I'm glad you like unicorns.  Aren't they cool?  Have a great 2013, Debbie

Lucas and Jesse, you guys are amazingly creative.  I love Santa Claus Doesn't Mop Floorsyour Santa Claus and Dark side ideas.  I challenge you two to write your own story based on your ideas.  You already have a rough idea of what you want to happen first, second, and last.  You might want to think about a few more details, such as where the story takes place and more about your 'creature'.  Check out my writing video or writing page for more suggestions.  Will you take the challenge? Tell me how it goes!  (If you want to do it in a fun, silly way you might like to check out the app Puppet Pals.)  Happy 2013, Debbie
