Dear Mitesh, I'm glad you liked Phantoms Don't Drive Sports Cars. I do have a red convertable, but it's not a Lamborghini Diablo! I saw the play, Phantom of the Opera, which inspired the book. If you ever get a chance to see it, you should go. It's quite creepy! Have a great week, Debbie

Dear Aabha, I'm glad you are enjoying Angels Don't Know Karate and Elves Don't Wear Hard Hats. The idea for the playground in Elves Don't Wear Hard Hats came from a real playground in Lexington, KY where the kids did get to design it. Alex, I hope you'll like The Wrong Side of Magic. Hi Leila, right now I am saying hi to you and working on my website. I do like to try new things, do you? Christina, the leaf thing at your library sounds cool. I hope you win. I do like to bake. So far for Thanksgiving, I've baked two cakes and brownies! Joshua, the amount of money a writer earns varies depending on how many books they sell. A big Thanksgiving hello to Michelle, Troy, Ally and Katie. Christina, your cookies sound so good. Now, I'm hungry! Alexa, you are so right. It would be cool if cookies made everyone nice! I also think it would be neat to have a unicorn like Kirin for a friend. I hope you enjoy the Other Side of Magic. Joan, my awards are listed on the individual book pages. Sadie, in Blue-Ribbon Blues there were a lot of winners. Jack won for most improved, but Sweetcakes and Petey tied for the blue ribbon. Have a great Thanksgiving. Nyha, the idea for Angels Don't Know Karate came from taking karate lessons. The place where I took them stressed respect for oneself and others. Why do I write about mythical characters alot? For one thing, it's great fun and I find it interesting learning about what people used to believe. It makes me wonder if some of the things we think are true today will sound silly to people 200 years from now. Who knows? Kara, I have had a great time writing 10 different series, including Mermaid Tales that comes on in May. Have a great Thanksgiving, Debbie
