Mummies Don't Coach Softball     Ian, I think it is totally cool that you are making a cookbook.  Are you making up your own recipes or collecting them?  If you are collecting them, here's my suggestion:  Take a bag of Oreo cookies and crunch them to pieces.  Mix the Oreo cookie crumbs with one 8 oz. block of cream cheese.  Roll them into balls and dip them in melted white chocolate.  Cool and refrigerate.  My mom gave me the recipe and they are so tasty!
Felicity, congratulations on having a new baby brother or Camelsister soon.  Anna, what a cute idea.  The only book of mine  that I can think of that has any Egyptian reference is Mummies Don't Coach Softball. I went to Egypt about ten years ago.  It was pretty interesting.  I got to see pyramids and all kinds of cool stuff.  I even rode a camel, which was pretty frightening!  ttyl, Debbie

Mary and Kinley, you guys sound like fabulous readers!  Frankenstein bookAlexandria, I'd be happy to answer any questions for your school paper.  I think my Grandmother Bailey inspired me to be a writer, because she always kept a diary.  Kaci, my favorite color has always been blue.  Ian, I am a Phillies Fan through and through, even though they didn't make it to the final Stanley Cup Game.  Are the Buffalo Sabers your favorite team?  If you like hockey, you might like to try Frankenstein Doesn't Slam Hockey Pucks.  The idea came from my husband and oldest son, who both played hockey.  Have a super day, Debbie

Angels book Angelina and Kendall, thanks for your lovely words of inspiration!  Angelina, you might like the character's name in Angels Don't Know Karate.  Korbin and Kennia, you guys have such funny ideas!  Korbin, your idea reminds me a bit of Skeletons Don't Play Tubas
Ian, I have been trying to find out how you play Lacrosse.  Is it hard to play?  Chloe, I did have a fabulous Mother's Day, starting with church and then going to eat brunch overlooking the Delaware River.  The sun was shining here so it was a beautiful day.  Sera, I hope you'll enjoy Whistler's Hollow.  It does have a few surprises in it.  ttyl, Debbie

The Worst Name in Third GradeI have a question for you guys:  which sounds more fun?  Barracuda Ball or Shell Wars?   Chloe, I like your idea of MerWorld!  Sera and Amoure', I'm so glad you like my books.  Marayah, can you tell I like dogs?  Bobo from The Worst Name in Third Grade is based on my dog, Bailey.  Who knows Ryan, maybe someday Marcia and I will write an autobiography.
Dylan, Marcia and I have been brainstorming for another Bailey School Kids Junior book.  Ian, I've never written a cookbook, but I have contributed to some.  Also, many of the Bailey School Kids Special Editions have recipes in them.  Danielle, your idea sounds like great fun!  It reminds me a bit of Slime Wars.  Hope you all have a fabulous weekend and don't forget to wish your mother's a Happy Mother's Day.  best, Debbie
