The Polar Bear ExpressDear DJ, I have lots of favorites. One is The Polar Bear Express! Gisela, do you also speak and read English? Ana, meat comes from animals. Carmen, I agree that age is just a number.
Laura, for me the best place on earth is home. Amanda, hail can be scary! Yikes! Paula, lots of people are afraid of this new virus. The best thing to do is to wash your hands longer than usual and avoid touching your face. Madelyn, congrats on your project! Debbie, my favorite cheese is cheddar.
Allijah, you might like to check out my writing page. I think the best thing is to brainstorm (or consider lots of different ideas) for what could happen next in your story. Then pick the idea that you like best. I like your title and that you are planning ahead!
Monika, 康提 and Andrea-hi! Tereza, me too! Natasha, I have been to Split, Croatia. Do you read my books in English? Kristina, I think that game isn't too bad as long as you do safe things! Sementa and 乔贝尔, I do like to sing  (I sing in my church choir). Sementa, good luck with you lessons. Gisela, I bet your hair is pretty. Mar, do you have a favorite game? 康提, I am curious. Which book of mine did you like? Did you read it in English or Chinese? Have a super awesome week and thanks so much for writing to me, Debbie

The Narwhal ProblemDear Blair, Thanks for knowing about Frankenstein Doesn't Plant Petuniasthe unicorn of the sea (like the narwhal in The Narwhal Problem). DJ, the Bailey School Kids books are about a group of four kids trying to save their school from very unusual grown-ups, who might just be monsters! Rosie, I'm glad you won't do that again. Amanda, that is untrue. Madelyn, I have a lot to learn about giraffes, but they sound very interesting. It's a good thing they only need to drink every couple of days. Happy Dr. Seuss' birthday and Read Across America Day, Debbie

Selah, thanks from the kind words from Egypt. I was lucky enough to do an author visit at the Cairo American College years ago. The lovely people there took me (and my son) to the Pyramids of Giza and the Step Pyramids. It was an amazing experience.
Hola Amanda. I know that means hi! I know that bano means bathroom.
Hallie, I like to learn new things when I write stories. Right now, I'm learning that there is bacteria that eats sunken ships! Christopher and Ahyma, there are many things I enjoy about being an author. Being able to to work at home is pretty great, but creating new worlds is the best! See some of you soon! Best, Debbie
