Dear Afina and Sawyer, I'm so glad you like the Mermaid Tales books. I really like the pictures too. The illustrator is Tatevik Avakyan. She lives in California. Afina, I like your new word-mermaidlicous! Sawyer, the next Mermaid Tales to come out is The Narwhal Problem. Is is #19 in the series. It comes out in June, but can be pre-ordered now at your favorite bookstore or online. Guess what? I just signed a contract to write #21 and #22!

Dear Suzy, My favorite books when I was growing up were Cherry Ames, Student Nurse and a book about Helen Keller when she was young. Lindsey, Heather, and Penelope, my advice is to just enjoy your second grade life. Florence, I'd love to answer any book questions you might have.

Dear Makenzie, Way to go with your writing. I wonder Leprechauns Don't Play Basketball if you'd like to check out my writing page. Janelle, I'll look forward to your snail mail letters. Noel, snail mail is a nickname for regular mail through the post office. Alivia, the ideas for the kids in my stories come though all the kids I've known in my life.
Jackson, Aksel, Kameron, and Noel-thanks for the kind words! Aksel, many of my books are on AR. Kameron and Janelle, I am writing more books! Jake, Jackson, and Raegan I have many favorites. Today, I am feeling partial to Leprechauns Don't Play Basketball (since I've Bogeymen Don't Play Football been watching a lot of basketball lately!)
Jada and Jackson, I have sold 168 stories to be made into books. Mateo, I do like Garfield and some Jackson songs. Jake, I do like sports. You may have noticed that a lot of the Bailey School Kids books are about sports as well as some of the Mermaid Tales books. Eli, have you seen Bogeymen Don't Play Football? Hi Mateo, Did you know that I sometimes get ideas from kids? In fact, a kid told Marcia about an alien teacher wearing braces and that's where Aliens Don't Wear Braces came from! There are 51 numbered Bailey School Kids books, along with additional super specials and two spin offs: Bailey City Monsters and Bailey School Kids Junior Chapter books.
