Hi Emily, at first I didn't like Pearl at all because she can be very snobby at times. But then I got to know her better and I realize that she doesn't actually mean to be rude most of the time. She needs to learn better people skills! In Danger in the Deep Blue Sea, she learns just how valuable friends can be! You can listen to part of it here.

Daniel, I like hearing from you. To answer your question, I didn't write much when I was a child. In fact, I didn't really think about authors at all. But I did love to read-a lot! It was when I was a teacher and then a librarian that I began to dream of being a writer. I loved sharing books with my students and thought it would be awesome to share one of my own.
